Good time of year to be coming on business ;)
Try over by the boatramp at Goddard State Park at first light, or by the bathing beach - Clouser Minnows, Glass Minnows etc. You do not need to be an expert to get fish in Greenwich Bay this time of year. There is an article on my website that gives some pointers about fly fishing Greenwich Bay from shore. www.surfcasting-rhodeisland.com I've got a guidebook for sale if you want to pick it up. I'm close to the area. There are also a couple of good, light tackle charter boats out of the area - You can email me if you like: joelyons53@hotmail.com |
Be sure to bring some clam worm flies. Things that are really doing well are the Gartside Shworm and Abrames worm. Be sure to bend down the barbs and bring forceps. There are a lot of little bass present and they seem to swallow the worms.
