everywhere.........

We fished today, from the surf, wading estuaries, driving oversand on two beaches one bayside and one oceanside, we caught bass. There must be two bejillion of them. Poppers were kind as long as they were white. nothing over 26 inches. Tons of little tiny ones, to 18 inches. Outside the dirty water was best.

NIB 05-06-2006 06:18 PM

Yup, I just caught three of them in 30 minutes on a small plastic swimming shad. My first schoolies of the season! Whoop-pee-doo!

Tagger 05-07-2006 06:44 AM

i got skunked in RI,,,

fishonnelsons 05-07-2006 06:50 AM

Truro - Corn Hill Beach and Pamet outflow on the Bay side, Head of the Meadow on the Ocean, schoolies all day long, up to 24 inches, fun on the small Tsunami etc. plastics. Ptown Harbor as well, and supposedly a few squid out of the harbor the other night too.

Backbeach Jake 05-07-2006 07:21 AM

Bayside is HOT! As you bring in a schoolie there are a half dozen following. Agressive biters, crush those barbs..

And the Captain says', "Mr. Horton, do you hear that"? " No sir", says Horton. 'That there is the calm before the Storm Mr. Horton", "that's what that is".

Insane Sunday. 3 guys on the boat.... stopped counting at about 125. Most fish between 14" and 18" a few around 26". Managed one at 34" and one at 38". They seemed to like small needles, pencil poppers, 4" swimmers, etc. Bright colors, white, yellow, orange. Did great on the fly also, lots of flash seemed to do the trick.
My thumb hurts, my back hurts, I'm sunburned....and happy!:hee:

Almost forgot. The 38" had 3 mantis shrimp in it's belly. All about 6" to 7".
