giving bow hunters a bad name

I know there are mixed opinions on bow hunters, but I think this guy just makes everyone look bad. Come on, you gotta respect a fish that old and big.

""It was really nice to get a record," Russian said. "It was an ugly, yellow-bellied thing. Makes good raccoon bait."

Russian said he planned on taking the carp home, "chop it up and feed it to the skunks and possum. It's good for the ecology.""

Talk about a true natural jackass. Shooting fish IMHO should be kept to spear fishing and only if your eating. He has no idea he made himself look like a complete ass.

So shouldn't you also respect that big ole 12 pointer. I hold an animal like that in much much higher reguard and would have no problem harvesting it, and if your a bow hunter neither would you right.

Carp can do severe damage to the echo system on smaller bodies of water where they were illegaly intoduced. I have seen it first hand on a lake I grew up on. Large and small mouth of good size were plentifull 15 years ago, now nothing but carp, lots and lots of carp. With no natural predators they have over run the place. Used to shoot as many as I could when I was younger, hey the turtles got to eat too.

Carpe Diem

Isn't a carp just an overgrown Goldfish? Like Saltheart said, "it looks like it legal in Pa. to shoot them with bows".
