Make sure it doesn't come up above the back window, a lot of broken necks in rear end accidents, don't get a shallow one best is the gang box type that sits on the floor of the bed, that way nothing slides and is a cludder gatherer.

alminum, no steel!, so go anodized if ya gotta have black. paint sucks

I had one of the aluminum boxes on my motorhome, was Great, real thick, and held up well to the sand and salt.

For tools or tackle?

I gotta find a pic... I had a white fiberglass one on my 79 chevy... over the winter I fabricated a divider,, drivers side was a tackle box, passengers side was a cooler... :D

Weatherguard's are probably the best. I filled mine with 500lbs of tools and crap and abused it for 8 years. It has major dentage and still doesn't leak a drop. the locks are first class, too. The biggest full size was about $500, but worth every penny. Give me a call if you can't find one. You can jump on them.
