Crazy Idea
 

I just thought of this last night while painting a few plugs. Have any of you tried painting a lip red or whatever color to give the illusion of an open mouth on a plug? I was thinkin of a powdercoat or somthing similar to do it. Or do you guys know of any places that sell colored lips?

Always puzzled me ,,,hardware that is .. big shiny hunk of metal,,shiny circles on the belly (belly grommets), 2 or 3 giant hooks hanging,,arse grommet .. No real bait fish is swimming around with all that bling .. Then we have discusions on wether or not eyes matter.. I think they'd hit a barbie doll with the right movement or vibe in the water .. I paint my belly grommets in because of personal prefference but i don't think the fish care .. They'll hit a beat up plug with rusty hooks and no paint left on it .. go figure.. :spin:

When i've used spinner blades on my plugs for lips, doesn't seem to make a difference wether they're silver or gold to the fish. But your idea sounds cool , worth a try and will prolly catch more fisherman. :hihi:
