Ya ever

have a run of plugs all ready to paint, primed, sanded and tacked, and have no idea what you want for schemes? Kinda an airbrush senior moment?

RIROCKHOUND 05-31-2006 07:25 PM

Yup...
but I think you should make a pink mack and send it to me :D

thefishingfreak 05-31-2006 07:36 PM

just grab some color and see what comes out..

or just go with yellow:btu:

justplugit 05-31-2006 07:47 PM

Happens to me too. Its usually when I'm really excited about doing something new - then I'll sit down to paint and can't think of anything. I've taken to looking at pictures of fish - not that I'm painting the exact fish - but sometimes I'll see some colors that inspire me - either that or I pour a drink and do something else that night!

Tagger 05-31-2006 08:35 PM

all the time,, usaully remember after I paint them all blue/white..then its next batch ..

gone fishin 05-31-2006 09:17 PM

Yep - all the time. I always intend to do a color that someone wants and end up doing just the opposite:uhoh:

ThrowingTimber 06-01-2006 11:16 AM

yup! Thats usually the time I break out the patron Silver

Grab a cabellas book and check out colors for lures youd throw and where and you'd be surprised what jumps at ya.

ah Fred  .. another reason I love my spray bombs.. I have them all stacked in a box, colors up.. reach in, grab one in each hand, start circling the plugs, and have at it.. don't like what I see.. reload, or mix 'em up :D...

seriously tho.. I usually write my schemes down, as I usually paint everything at once... load my racks with the ones I'm gonna do multiples of, and shoot 'em all at once.

Like when you think you got a really cool color scheme and then look at it the next day and think that looks like %$%$%$%$ :hs:
