Most Adictive Video Game?

What's your most addictive video games?

For me Harpoon, EF2000 ( a few years ago), Quake...

Reason I ask is I downloaded a demo for Battlefield 2 a couple nights ago and I'm addicted and afraid to purchase because of the addiction...

Bronko 06-02-2006 09:20 AM

Back in 2000.... Age of Empires. I used to have nightly dreams about it after playing it for hours on end. It was insane. That game was evil.:vamp:

BrianS 06-02-2006 09:30 AM

99-2002 - Asherons Call
2002-2004 - Asherons Call 2
2004-PResent - World of Warcraft

Mix in various amounts of Age of Empires II, Quake 3, and Madden...
= Addiction

Most addictive for me was NHL Hockey on the first PlayStation when I was in college. I had a buddy that I would play with every night when we came home from our internships. We were cool.:tm: 4-way James Bond on Nintendo 64 was big too. Large gatherings in a funky smellin room.:smokin:

The Iceman 6 06-02-2006 10:29 AM

Techmo Bowl and Techmo II, god I loved those games, countless hours, followed closely by NHL hockey...

GTA Vice City:o.. had a miserable bout with a cold/flu winter before last, had insomnia, either from it, or the meds.. beat every mission/ owned everything, finished it off... Got Godfather for my b-day in March, that was cool too, but finished quicker than GTAVC, definatley hooked till the end with both.
Time wasters for sure.....

Where's BM.. I'd love his answer on this :hihi:...

Techmo! My roomates and I would play an entire season with two teams each in a night. Start after work, put the cofee on around 11PM... And yes, Grogan was Da Man!

NHL Hockey was awesome...

Rappin Mikey 06-02-2006 11:48 AM

addictive??? Romance of the three kingdoms - wall of fire

It’s the era of the Second Han Dynasty, and China is being overrun by powerful warlords. A struggle for power among the court families has spawned a time known as the Three Kingdoms, and it’s up to you (as the current ruler) to restore peace to your troubled country...

Unrealtournament - 99-whatever... trust me you'll lose assault, bunnytracks, dom, ctf whatever you will lose.

Halo

contra...

only play games and design maps etc from dec to march tho.

crash 06-02-2006 12:49 PM

Have to add Wolfenstein 3d back in the day that game had me warming the computer chair for hours, new one is good too.

redcrbbr 06-02-2006 03:14 PM

runescape and GTA

RickBomba 06-02-2006 03:44 PM

The new Tiger Woods.
I must say, I knew we were a bunch of fishing geeks, but it seems to me that we are a large bunch of video nerds as well.

Later,
Rick

Might and Magic. Not Heroes Of but straight up M&M.Especially 1 thru 5.AD&D Gold Box was a close second.Obvisiously this goes back a few years.Baldur's Gate and NeverWinter Nights are fairly good for the more up to date games.

MrHunters 06-03-2006 11:30 AM

age of empires is addicting in the fact that you can play for 4 hours straight and wonder where the sunlight went...
Other addictions
Halo
Theif Deadly Shadows
Might and Magic VI (sophomore year in college was rough because of that one)
EQ (shhhh, but got bored of it tried eq2 and was not into)

My favorite addictive games are the ones I can get my gf involved in (co op).. Dark Alliance for xbox was great for that...

anyone know any good co op games these days... need to do some research now for the winter :)

Surfcastinglife 06-03-2006 11:35 AM

i have all the aoe games, they are fun but the balance issues turn me off to them a bit, broodwar is much more balanced oh and how could i have forgotten the Total:war series. those games are so awesome

NJTackle 06-03-2006 03:21 PM

In high school and college it was Galaga!

Recent PC game I got sucked into is Call of Duty 2......great game...major time suckage!!! :crying:

bloocrab 06-03-2006 10:42 PM

Always a big fan of Madden....but Techmobowl brought back some old dubbelbarrel memories....

A great Dinosaur Atari game....TANK

...and of course Galaga, I'm sure that helped build strength in my right fore-arm for somethin'

They are definately time-killers thats fer sure....

basswipe 06-04-2006 06:34 AM

There's one other from back in my highschool days to which Bloo reminded me of when he brought up Atari.

Does anybody remember the game Yar's Revenge?I couldn't stop playing that one.

RLC100 06-04-2006 10:27 AM

Bubble Shooter?

Striperknight 06-04-2006 11:46 AM
