Can't wait to bounce this along the bottom. :) weight of lobster is 4.4 ozs plus a 1.5 oz jig head. Definite 1209 material.

No, it is a Hogy. I think he had a lobster from the belly of a fish and made a mold from it. Pic sux though and doesn't show the detail.

Now the funny thing is the fish that's swimming by and sees that on it's way down to the bottom. Did you see that, I just got passed by a lobster. too funny.

Dave, I left a couple of your Pikie's with my dad on my fall trip last year for him to use, and that's what he got his first fish on this year. A buddy of his had to see what he was using, and it was one of those 'Hey where'd you get those' kind of things :humpty:

I got a few more for Canal field testers !! Color is Black / Orange

striprman 06-02-2006 08:30 PM

Alot the real lobsters I've managed to snag in the canal over the last couple years had that "black shell" disease. I guess black would be a good color.

the one I have is green :hihi:

I`m getting a huge trap with a 60# Striper entry and strapping in a few 4 lb lobsters :usd:

Question is will the 1209 handle that bait?

zimmy 06-05-2006 08:14 AM

:claps: How do they cast? :usd:

Dave :hee: I meant my huge lobster trap...

I like your bait and idea :hihi:

ThrowingTimber 06-05-2006 11:45 AM

threw two and a quarter pounds with my 1209 the other day. That did phase it, but it chucked it just fine. Anything bigger than two pounds it gets a lil tricky.
