Anybody else out there fishing in this? I'm stuck at the shop right now. I'll be out there again tonight though. Some decent fish have been weighed in so far.

Hey!
Something is wrong here. That fish has my name on it. I can clearly see my name on it.
Oh allright, nice fish, only kidding. I'll bet everyone here is thinking the same thing though.:bl: |
Nice fish Rob.
He's a good kid. Fishes hard he deserves it.:kewl: An he didn't have to come to NJ to get a big fish. |
Beauty of a fish........good for him

It was a shorty, just 41". Didn't get a girth measurement. I've thought about writing an article on photography for fisherman. So many photos of nice fish I see are just too far away. Maybe the guy taking the shot wanted to document what was behind the guy and the fish, I don't know. A buddy of mine I fish with is infamous for being too far away. I always yell out "No one wants to see my knees!" if my picture is being taken in the boat and I'm holding a fish horizontal. Just fill the frame with the fish and my face. Basically get I get close, and then get closer when taking a shot. Nothing but the guy who caught it and the fish if you want a photo that does a fish justice. Nose of the fish on one end, tail on the other. If you're the one taking the photo make sure you coach the person holding the fish; have him tilt it so that the broadest side is what the camera will see. Certain angles can make a fish look a lot smaller then it really is. Some would say getting close is cheating and making the fish look bigger, I'd say we're just accustomed to badly framed and too distant photos. |
That's an article I would like to read. On the occasion I remember a camera, I've developed a real knack for making good fish look like crap.
|
Pete , Is it true a few Fish were HAB'ed this Week...........
|
Rumor confirmed. 43" and 39", both fatties. Released to fight another day so no documentation other then the tape measure. 1 1/4 Needle in white.

I'm not a professional photographer or anything so it would take me a while to fluff up even a page worth of reading material. |
