the last couple months i have been going through some crap, and some health problems. anyway, i dont want to whine to you guys, just a question is all i have. does anyone know of any decent jobs, i am a mechanic by trade, but have other skills as well. i know that there are business owners here and guys that know alot of people, so i just figured id check with you guys, appreciate any help. thanks guys, everyone here has been a huge help over the last few years, i am very greatful.

How would you feel about comuting to braintree ma everyday.

You have to take a basic technical test, which really isn't technical, also notice the top pay, that is after 4 years, you get raises every 6 mos till you get there. Also this is probably a union job.

Metrology Technician

US-MA-Braintree

As a Metrology Tech you will calibrate, test, and repair, test and measurement equipment (T&ME). This includes meters, scopes, TDR’s, signal generators, thermometers, humidigraphs, super micrometers, gage techniques, optical, high frequency, temperature/humidity and dimensional instruments.

Responsibilities:

Perform traceable calibration using appropriate standards.
Identify and repair malfunctions and restore to proper operating condition.
Required Skills/Experience:

Have working knowledge of soldering and desoldering techniques.
Must possess a valid MA Driver's License and safe driving record. May be
asked to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License after hire.
Starting wage for this position is $464.50/wk. up to $1,247.50/wk. based on education and/or experience.
