Well the bait shop should give you some spots, If you are bait fishing use clams or sea worms, any rubber or tins works well

fishing the mac is an easy place to fish just walk the shore line and fish the holes and rips.

If you plan to fish the river you will find it fairly tough this weekend. the water is moving at a clip that challenges the ditch. There is loads of junk and weed coming down the river also. Fish the river at low tide and the beach at high tide. Clams and worms. You will not be lonely at PI - they will probably be lined up shoulder to shoulder this weekend. With the river running as high and hard as it is you will do well to hold bottom and there will be plenty of lines tangled. Good luck.:gorez:

The area around the mouth of the river is popular and can be productive. Lots of water moving through now, bring the heavy gear. As far as crowds go, it will most likely be crowded.

In the river I go up or down depending on the time of the tide, I have the best luck with 2 to 3 oz. bank sinker, on the ocean front I start with a 4 oz pyramid sinker and go up if it will not hold bottom. I usually use a float behind the bait to help keep the skates down to a minimum
