What Plugs Are You Never Without?

I am just curious....what plugs can't you leave home without? You always have them in your bag....the biggest producers? Lets see whats in your bag!:eyes:

ThrowingTimber 06-09-2006 03:37 PM

Dave Mac, Long Island Fish in Vermont, Gary2, Digger in VA, bernz and RM smith, Steve F. for calm waters

always.

likwid 06-09-2006 03:48 PM

booger needles
manzi needles
booger round nose
mac pikies
BOMBERS (loaded and unloaded)

Bigcat 06-09-2006 03:51 PM

Salty's 1-1/4 big mouth popper for the boat, and Salty's sherriff for the Canal :bounce:

Labrador1 06-09-2006 04:02 PM

There are a few - some are my own - but for daytime I have to have a Bernzy Surf Howdy. That plug is just too versatile not to carry one in my bag.

luds 06-09-2006 04:15 PM

This changes often for me because I tend to get fixated on different plugs at different times.

So far this season during the day it has been: 1. SS popper 1.5 oz in yellow/white sinking, yozuri hydro pencil, labrador jointed herring swimmer and surf asylum spook

night= chartreuse, schoolbus, yellow/white , blurple bombers all sizes/ Labrador 2 Oz. swimmers in blurple and chartreuse scale.

soon(actually tonight) I won't bother during the day and will be turning to alot more needles. Hab's, L.I. fish v.t. and bugger needles all are a must.:soon:

thefishingfreak 06-09-2006 04:16 PM

1. Habs Neddles Large; in white, black, small in white, black, burple, and chartruese

2. Beachmaster swimmers in Burple and herring wish I had the dannys

3. Poppers in Yellow, white, black, mack Pink/white, 3oz Blueback

4. Windcheaters in Pink, mack, black, and white washed

5. Judes irons

6. Red 9" sluggos rigged with slingshot pellets

Misc darters and such :D oh and the kitchen sink!!!

Big Dave 06-09-2006 05:18 PM

Normal everyday bag
(4) 3 or 3 1/2 oz white barracudas (Old canal term for lead head)
(6) Eel rigs from 2 1/2 up to 4 oz
A jar of white #240 pork rind
Maybe some rubber, but not very often I still perfer skins.

if I know I will be fishing up until daybreak

(1) Pencil A gibbs, hawg hunter, or my own
(1) Polaris A gibbs, hawg hunter, or my own
Most of the time I could care less about the color. (white, yellow, blue, etc, etc) it does not matter to me. they all catch. especially when the bucktail on the trebbles gets rusty, and the paint is just about gone.
(2) 3oz tins, maybe a hopkins, or a cripple. my favorite are stingsilvers.

The nicest thing about this bag setup is I can fish everything in this bag well with one rod. And I am able to travel as light as possible. For me anyway I have found keeping it this simple makes it nice an easy, for me anyway its better than needing to feel like pulling along a Uhaul

But the most important thing about the bag is I have complete and total confidence that its all I'll need to catch fish in any condition where I fish. and I fish the canal 98% of the time that I fish.
Big Dave
