Professor's Needles

I am just getting ready to get Paul's aluminum needles in my bag. Anyone use theirs yet? They've been on 'display' since the Plugfest.

I wouldn't use them they suck. I have caught only small fish with them so far but that is what I was fishing for. I have had several people ask me to try and make them heavier, especially the small ones, so they can throw them further, after I tried so hard to make them as light as I could so they didn't sink so fast. Just this week I finished a mold for a very small dia. tail weight that I could stuff the body with lead, it worked good. People had interest in the small ones for False Albacore and Bonito but said they were too light. Well you can only make a small piece of metal so heavy, but hollowing out and filling with lead will give it some extra weight for casting distance. Now I just have to find some time to make a few.
