If you see any cotton balls on toothpicks running around.......step on them.

Find someplace more crowded... PI - where you and your 7000 closests friends....

Seriously, things to do - Join A Fishing Club! Can't be underestimated, the value in joining a local club.

Find important things, stucture, moving water, decent depths, bait - fish there....

Welcome to S-B

Stay away from plum island...WAY too many people there plus the fishing sucks there anyway.

If your going to PI on sunday go early.....and by early I mean if the sun is coming over the horizon....your too late.

Welcome to the site, The Dad just gave you good advice. The place gets super crowded right as the sun is coming up, so get there around 3:30am or so if you want to fish the sunrise shift.

NRA - go to the Plum Island Surfcasters web site. If you are new to the effort, attend a meeting or two and you will get all kinds of advice.

Contact the dad fisherman - he is real active in the club and will guide you.

One word of advice - PI is a zoo on the weekends. Too little accessible area and too many people crossing over each other.:rocketem:

Wait for a good few sea storms...
Need to give a douching from the floods...
as for PLUM ISLAND s#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g.....

NO WAY!!!! just gotta know how to fish it...
I fish BOTH the CAPE and P.I. ....
Both produce BIG fish just at different times of the year...
In dead summer....P.I. will produce more striper than the CAPE...
BUT......the Cape it where it's at in spring, early summer and fall...

and it's truly 2 Different styles and ways to fish....

as for the people you gotta play the tides, and go when they're not there... ex: weds. nites at 2 am.... just like the cape, you gotta fish when the tourists aren't around!!!!
J.D.
