Camera suggestions ?

I'm looking for some advice on what type/brand camera that I can throw in a backpack and use at night. Something water resistant ?

Cameras, compters, etc. are not my thing - so the "easier to use", the better

Any suggestions

I don't what preference in brands you have but try this.
Go on ebay and search ( olympusauctions + all weather )
The link was too long to post.
Most digitals are point and shoot anyway.

Pentax optio w10 6MP digital camera - check it out at B&H camera online. I bought a Canon A620 recently and it is a great camera and very well reviewed by every review that I saw when researching the camera - but it is not waterproof. The Pentax waterproof camera has received some praise on some fishing sites that I ran across.

Those are probably going to be my next two aquisitions.
Camera looked decent & relatively cheap.
I had a Pelican box for my last digital.
The next box I buy will be bright yellow or orange.
So after three days of ice fishing & lots of frosty beverages I don't leave it somewhere. :wall:

Frank,
I use a CVS disposable digital camera.
They have one thats ten bucks and another thats twenty. The twenty you can delete pics you do not want. When your done with the camera, you get a disk and prints. Its great , they also have a disposabel video camera. That takes about twenty minutes of digital video.

Beware of the Olympus "all waether" cameras. They are good if you get a bit if rain on them but anymore than that and your camera will get wrecked. I just sent my Olympus all weather camera to Olympus because it got wet and fogged up and would'nt work, they want to charge me $150 to fix it now. I'm now looking at the new olympus WATERPROOF camera that is 100% waterprrof and you can take pics underwater, 7 megapixels, and its also smaller than most digital cameras too. Runs around $400 i think. But at least this one IS totally waterprrof and wont get ruined like the "all weather" ones.

Just my 2 cents....
