Brendon Richards-- Congrats

On 6-29-06 Brendon landed a 48 pound striper in , Narragansett on a 9 inch black Slug-go. Brendon is 16 yrs. old and is one hell of a surf fisherman!

Bill L 07-01-2006 06:25 AM

Great fish and congrats to Brendon...but,what Chef said.

eelman 07-01-2006 08:07 AM

I echo Chefersons Comment! That kid is hooked for life! Awesome fish for anyone at any age, there are adults who have fished many years without a Cow like that! Brendon Richards is one hell of a fisherman! And he is only 16 !! Look out! Awesome fish Kiddo! You should be very proud!

Black Sluggo sure has accounted for some nice bass ! I sure hope he is entered in OTW tourney! That will put RISAA in a great spot!

Well done. General consensus is that Narragansett and Newport are kind of quiet right now, and then out of left field a beast like.

I love it, big fish like that keep me casting and trying just one more spot even when I'm tired or the fishing is slow. You just never know when mobus is lurking in the water in front of you...

eelman 07-01-2006 09:54 AM

Just be happy for the kid and leave it at that! Congrats again Brendon....job well done!:jump:

tynan19 07-01-2006 10:34 AM

Steve "VS"...

Was it a "pound per inch"?...Looks that way, and if so.......that's great. It's nice to see some fish actually getting fatter. These stream-lined skinnies were getting me worried.

Great Job Brendon -

Me too. After I weighed the fish in I was informed by my dad that a SNESA report was to be written. I told my dad the "Eastern shoreline of Narragansett was a more than generous description of the spot" He didn't seem to think so . The fish was a whole 47", so she's more than a pound per inch. I fished for a whopping total of 2 hours. If it was only like that all the time . . .
