Go to the MSBA site and look up the historian...John Cherico..I believe he has an e/mail addy that is listed there also..

Whitey Kruegar (May be spelled wrong) the club has an award named after him!:wiggle:

His name was Whitey Krueger, another guy that did TONS of stuff for MSBA. Used to make custom rods for the kids derby winners every year... I remember him when I was a kid there.... a real nice guy.
Had a wire line rod made by him. PM me about the surf rod Joe, I would be interested in it, more for nostalgia than anything. Steve |
thanks for the help guys , i thought that was his name but its been a long time , i did win one of his rods as a juinor member , it was an awesome piece of gear tjhat i used and abused for 15 years this other rod was won by my dad i think in the raffle .

I got to know a bit about Whitey Krueger this past year because of my son Leo who won the juniors derby last year, and the tradition started by Whitey Krueger of building a custom rod for the junior catching the largest bass of the year!
Aurthur Kaplan now carries on the tradition calling, it the "Whitey Krueger memorial award" |
