Early morning.....
 

What else do you guys suggest besides black sluggos? Don't feel like dealing with cape traffic to get eels, plan on launching out of plymouth in the morning around 3:30 am. I've had no luck finding pogies, just curious what everyone else uses.:yawn:

for early morning.
pencil poppers and regular poppers are my favorite.

yellow, blue/white, green/white, all white probly doing the best for me.

If its still dark a good black or black/purple danny don't hurt.Same colors for some of the more popular plastic swimmers too.

One 24" fish to show for the trip, tried everything. Don't know what I am doing wrong, but that is two poor trips in a row. :bc:

Try a cedar plug (color: black) with a single feathered hook tied with saddle hackle (color: black) or a cedar plug (color: black) with a single 6/0 bare hook on which you've threaded a 4-inch Slug-Go or a 4-inch Senko Worm (color: black). Cedar plugs with feathered hooks outfish most soft plastics lures and black cedar plugs with black trailers outfish even black 9-inch Slug-Go's.
