Epoxy ?? Are you a Spinner or a Flipper ..

Or neither.. I've done both,, flipped,,made an inline spinner, a ferris wheel spinner,, a rack flipper, that I'm presently using ..
So I'll register myself as Flipper,, I can hear the jokes already ..:)

Epoxy and me don't see eye to eye, but after much anguish, with system 3 clear coat, which is thin and dries slowly, I've had my best results flipping them three times over about 20" then rotating them slowly overnight ( I use a small Dayton 3m098 3rpm gear motor that works well....about $40 I think). The worst of both methods no doubt.

At a plugaholics meeting; Hi my name is Dave. I am a flipper....

Backbeach Jake 07-04-2006 11:13 AM

Hi Dave....
I just hang them. After 15-20 minutes, I torch them to pop the bubbles. I use e-tex.
Where's the coffee and donuts?

Striperhound 07-04-2006 11:53 AM

tired of playing with e-tex and the like. All my stuff goes to a body shop to be sprayed with auto clear. :heybaby:

mikeguard01 07-04-2006 12:55 PM

Spinner and I still get the stuff all over me.

I'm a spinner - coat & spin, when all are coated a propane torch held properly and they are hard enough to stop the spin in three or four hours. Of course we don't rotiserie with the grill any more.:bl:

justplugit 07-04-2006 03:12 PM

RN24 and GF--not fair, no dust or dirt around for them to drop into.

Eddie, yeah i know, it's hard to find the PM "submit reply button" when your like a one arm paper hanger with the itch. :D

stripercrazy 07-05-2006 08:40 PM

flipper

2 ton. I just can't wait 5-6hrs:shocked: are they done yet

gldnbear93 07-06-2006 07:19 AM

tired of spinning and getting dust and junk in the finish. now I go to a body shop and have them sprayed. trying out a new auto clear that has a ceramic additive. supposedly it is self healing when it gets scratched. we'll see.

The Dad Fisherman 07-06-2006 07:25 AM

Neither, Devcon 2 and just leave them alone. Only drawback is I can only do one at a time....stuff sets up to fast
