Saltiga owners...

How much play is there in your bail, opposite the line roller? I was cleaning my reel up today, and there is what appears to be too much movement on the side with the bolt. I didn't want to over tighten it in the event that the reel came this way and I just never noticed it.

Thanks. I'll see if I can tighten it up a bit then.

You are gonna love that reel! What size did you get? If you can find one, get a round handle. eBay has them. MUCH more comfortable!

Z 4500, same thing with mine. The reel fishes like a wet dream, though.

Just checked mine - 5000Z with about 500+ hard use hours on it. Very little "play", but it does have some. I'd measure it in microns.

No movement, little more than a week old. It has a few fish in the 20 pound range on it already.

If there's a way to tighten it, I'd do it--that screw fell off a Nautil the weekend before last and I had to walk back to the truck and swap out reels.

Any ideas on how to do this?

Ok - never mind. Just went out and took a look at it. There's an interior Philips head screw.
