Props to the UK and USA for the terror bust
It looks like this could have been huge. Hopefully they can ensure this plot is bust and get some info from the 21 suspects already rounded up.
Looks like I'll be checking my toothpaste for my flight Sunday :) -spence |
Yep, Good job by the feds keeping those 21 wackos out of the sky, and saving lord knows how many lives.
I'm hearing Pakistan may have given us some info as well. If this is to be true, major props to Pakistan too :kewl: |
The appocolypse is truly near - Spence & Skippy concur on something...
But on a serious note - yes - excellent work by all involved - especially at the pointy end of the spear :btu: |
I have to get on a plane to the West Coast Sunday, then London in a few weeks. Not cool....

I have to fly back home from Fla Sunday, no MP3 player I guess.
WTF...Nuke 'em already...:rocketem: |
You know I'm just having fun.
Baby forumla, prescriptions drug of liquid & solid are exempt. However, wouldn't a terrorist see the loophole and possibly use the baby formula cannister as a means to conceal a chemical weapon. |

They caught Ron Jeremy trying to hijack orifices I mean planes. |
If I were a terrorist, I would target:
-cruiseships -nuclear power plants -planes via land -trains -concert/sporting events Wouldn't you think these would be a lot easier than planes? Scary... |

Absolutely - though it would need to be in similar fashion as blowing them up as no chance for a Hijack as a response team of special ops guys would be up their butt in a heartbeat. For obvious reasons, I wouldn't speculate publicly easy targets but you all realize how easy it would be to drum up a target list, right? ... and I heard a blurb today that the bird flu is coming :fishslap: |

Trains: check
concerts/sporting events: check the rest have too much security. and don't have the same psychological effect, because in essence there is NO escape from a plane in the air. |

seems to easy to me
that can't be the only plan......on the drawing board
they always seem to have a good escape plan... from bin laiden on down... so they will simply go to plan B great catch tho... absolutely hopefully! it will bust things wide open... |

Wait, maybe they do... |

"The United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) is a partnership between the Department of Homeland Security and the public and private sectors. Established in 2003 to protect the nation's Internet infrastructure, US-CERT coordinates defense against and responses to cyber attacks across the nation." I get an almost daily email informing me of vulnerabilites, most often with - you guessed it, Microsoft, and I'd venture most mentioned is, yup, IE... Now everyone from MACs, to Firefoc, to *nixes get listed, but Microsoft warnings are like what AOL discs were not long ago - Everywhere... |
NTBugTraq and BugTraq are where they get their information.
Just copy and paste and make it look official. :rotf3: "if these liquids are potentially dangerous, why is security dumping all of them into huge containers in the middle of big crowds of people?" I'd like to know the same thing please. |
I assume they have already checked them out before they hand them over to a nitrile glove handed lackey to dump them in the dumpster for the tv cameras...
