Confused..
 

I recently reinstalled Windows Xp Home Edition SP 2. onto my friends computer because it had so much spyware and the desktop didn't want to show up. But when he had setup the computer, the computer detected the internet and it worked.. But now, it doesn't want to pick it up. And we went through the internet connection wizard a few times, but yet it still doesnt want to work.


Anyone have any ideas?

Is the adapter installed? Check device manager.

or sometimes the nic card drivers are not installed and come on a disk .... look for that ..... or identitfy the type of nic you have thru
system info...

Go to start -> run then type in cmd . This will bring up the dos box. type ipconfig /all and see what it says for an ip #and how it got it

are we talking wireless or wired ?

Thanks.. I fixed it.. I had to install all the drivers over again, but i got it too work.. :)
