Poor Management!
That game last night was some of the piss poorest management I have seen in a game since I don't know when!!!!!:tm: When the Sox had the 5-3 lead in the eighth inning......if they wanted to win the game so bad why not just bring Papelbon in to finish instead of bringing Timlin in???? They needed to win that game last night so why are they saving Papelbon for Monday????:tm: Then after Timlin starts to show cracks Francona decides to bring Papelbon in only after the bases are loaded.....that was smart.....like he realized he had made a mistake and was trying to bail himself out of it....but it was too late! Then they have 2 men on in the ninth, no outs and he has....who was it Yuke bunt????:fishslap: That was a waste!! I would have had them swinging away.....just a hit would have iced the game at that point!!! Then he pinch hits for Kapler with the bases loaded and puts in that new guy Henzinger????? Brilliant move....idiot!!! :yak:
I fear they are done....their pitching is way too suspect to make any noise late in the season!!! What a pitiful weekend!:gf: |

i thought you quit caring on 8/6. I agree it was a tough weekend, hopefully they can get a game back today. Still a lot of baseball left for the true Sox fan. At some point those AL central teams have to lose (I hope) But it is getting a little dicey, I admit. Oh, I think you confused Eric Hinske with Todd Benzinger, thanks for the laugh and the memories. He was traded with Jeff Sellers for Rob Murphy and Nick Esasky in 1989. |
Who was the batter that had 3 doubles in his first game with the Sox Friday night?
|
yep
it's not worth the stress....for me...
oh the sox .... they won...? thats nice...:p http://smileys-et-compagnie.hebergem...anime/1/O4.gif |

im not mad that they are losing. they lose alot and then they win alot.
Im mad at HOW they are losing. these games this weekend were just pathetic..Yes TF had some poor choices but going into this game with 2 of your original starter, no lefty's in the bullpen, no big moves at trade deadline puts them in a position for failure. yes i know they are planning for the future but I just hope I see that future in my liftime. I actually agreed with the move to put hinske in...that guy has owned the yanks in the past. who knew he would forget how to swing the bat straight. it always comes down to pitching. every year. failure will be the red sox's middle name until they fix that. they averaged 200+ pitches a game... WTF. ok thats my $.02 |
The pats are starting soon so don't despair. ;)

What a choke job, This team was set up to fail from the start of the season, with the Theo mello drama.

amazing.
0-5 can't see it getting much worse. |
Oh yea of little faith.....they are the Red Sox after all.....it can get worse!:wall:
|
they can't play any worse than they have in the last month or so. they're pro's with pride- they'll play better in the next month. might not make playoffs with this staff, but they'll make it interesting.
|
Still plenty of time to turn it around....This is the lowest..No where to go but up...:crying:
|
How quickly you Red Sox fans forget.....we win one championship and suddenly we are the Yankees?:jester:

not necessarilly...
