As I was Crossing the Bridge
 

yesterday at about 2PM I looked down and saw slicks in the middle. Hmmm, I thought, Asked the WIfe to look down and see what was up. Lotsa bait breaking, she said. I didn't have any gear with me. I said something not fit to repeat here. So, what did I miss?:crying:

Fred my buddy has been fishing the canal the last several tides and tells me lots of bait and fish on top but nothing but small fish for him up top, that is not to say there aren't bigger ones, but he has only seen small caught. P.

One small school of 20 pound class fish made a very brief appearance this AM. Two guys lucky enough to be in the right place managed to hook up.

And no, neither was me :( I saw them on the road, still breathing, when I pedaled by.

Many fewer fish this AM than yesterday---and no blues.

Managed a few sublegals yesterday am, and had one decent one that came unbuttoned 3 yds from my buddy. :crying:

Took one massive 11 inch Striper Herring Cove Sunday around 4:30 pm. The pencil was almost as big as the fishy.

Down with buddy new to fishing from Gill Ma. for a few hours....then the warm rains started.
