keep loosing internet conn.
 

As long as Im using it stays on and when it sits idle it disconnects any ideas?

how do you know that it disconnects?

what provider? dsl or cable?
you may have to change a setting in your modem/router to "keep alive" for your connection.

some isp's disconnect you after a certain amout of time with no activity ..

Is it cable?

My COX connection has been up and down all day.

My DSL has been doing it for a few days, have to keep rebooting modem, called tech supprot and they can't find a problem.

Auto detect connect in my lan settings and its working fine now.

May want to check to make sure that your ethernet card/wireless card does not have any power management settings set, so that after periods on inactivity the card goes to sleep and is having issue coming back on.
