I can think of a few pot lines I'd like to bounce that around.
How long?

Looks real tasty......

RIROCKHOUND 09-06-2006 09:13 AM

Nice but very very bouyant... need a huge leadhead to tend bottom in moving water... looks great, but needs tweaking/experimentation....

JohnR 09-06-2006 09:22 AM

Slipknot,

Don't forget the Pikie, yellow/red head...I plan on using the one you made me when I make my annual pilgrimage at the end of the month.

whenever larry and i go we bring a couple of hundred plugs and end up using 'bout six.

Nebe,

I read a great story in an extremely old and rare book that’s in the Cuttyhunk Historical Society. It chronicled the fishing exploits of two wealthy gentlemen who had hired a Wampanoag guide to take them fishing at Gay Head; it seems they were complaining about the outrageous price of $1 for a large basket full of lobsters....what a rip off. BTW, they did manage to catch a few stripers on them their bugs.

Nebe 09-06-2006 07:22 PM

if only we could go back to those golded years with the tackle and gear we have today :hee:

I remember reading that back in colonial times lobster was considered slave food. They were getting it day after day and complaing about it. These days I can't even afford them more than a couple times a year

Finaddict 09-06-2006 07:56 PM

I hear that one Nebe ... if only we could go back to those days when the rivers were so clogged with bass you could walk across thier backs ...

Raider Ronnie 09-06-2006 07:58 PM

How do you guys fish that thing ???
Cast it out and let it sink to the bottom where the real lobsters live ???:gf:

tattoobob 09-06-2006 09:24 PM

Best thing to do is follow a lobster boat that is throwing shorts back and toss it the same way.

Swimmer 09-07-2006 01:06 PM

Sgt_Nutz 09-08-2006 12:31 PM

I would be REAL interested in your results when you get back. :wid:

Lobstermen I know reports stripers always following his traps up when he pulls them.
