not the first time
 

i get to my fishing spot, set up, make my first cast and WHAM!! fish on. last night it was 33-34" fish. get all pumped up say oh yeah gonna be a good night. fish hard for the next 3-4 hours with out so much as a bump. This is not the first time it has happened. I think i would rather catch the fish on the last cast. but then i know it wouldn't be the last cast.
Maybe i should have posted this in the grumpy forum

i HATE catching on the first cast. Sets yourself up for a bad night for sure.

Ahh the curse of he first cast. i always take a coule of lame casts just to wet my spool to avoid the curse and a burned thumb :hihi:

You gotta love the first cast catch ... but it is a little disappointing spending all that time and doing nuthin' after a decent fish ... it happens to me too ... but when you get one on the first cast and then continue to have steady action, it's even better ... :cheers:

Maybe go 3-4 hours earlier and then you will catch it on the last cast.....er....ok....then you can stay another 3 hours hoping for more :rotf2:

I hate first cast fish. u should just go home when that happens..
