Lookin for Nantucket info

We are leaving for Nantucket next Sat 9/30. I have a beach sticker for Great Point. What are some other easy acess spots for Blues, Albies & Bass. Any recent reports? TX:cheers:

Smith Point (if there is anything left) for blues, Eelpoint bass ./ blues, Brant Point for bass... There are a lot of other places but I am not as familiar with them from shore :eyes:

Jim things should be good. Great Point is a good experience. Heavy water and lot's of patience. Smiths has been inaccessible for 2 years now.
Fish:

BRANT PT- outgoing with eels, squid, maybe clams. The current smokes here so use an egg sinker to get it down there when the current is moving good. If the current is less active and you have lively snakes no weight is needed as they dive right down. Use heavy leader as there are mussel beds along the edge and they wil cut you off.
SOUTH SHORE- Both tides. Ebb flows west, flood east. Look for an onshore wind with some swell. Find the holes and work them with swimmers, plugs or eels. Some of the best fishing is here. Right now it sucks because we have had 10 days of hurricane swell and the water is filthy. You should get a town pass too as there is a stretch of beach (Point of Breakers to Madaquecham) that has some great holes.
THE MAIN HARBOR- When you drive out to Great Pt you will see on the map that there are trails into COATUE. There are a series of points inside that hold fish on both tides. Also, along the north side of Coatue there is a series of sandbars that form breaks. These are good places to be when the wind is north and there isn't any swell on the south shore. Same type of fishing techniques as the South shore.
GREAT POINT - Can be REALLY heavy so be careful. The rip isn't what it used to be (The ice a couple of winters ago totally changed it) but both tides produce fish and lately Albies, Bonitos and some Spanish Macs have been caught there. This is also the time of the year that the Alligators move in. Blues up to 20 lbs. Fecking nasty sum beeyotchs they are.

EEL PT- A town pass spot. All the way down in Madaket. Cool spot for fly guys. Kind of boring and sometimes VERY weedy for spin.

Hope this helps.
I must be getting old because i really don't care anymore if people fish these spots. There is room enough for everyone here.

Hey Fisherwoman

You should see the menu! We gotta stoke up for that 45 minutes of power fish'n each day! :beat: Al's bringing Ribs, Chicken, and we may get some local scallops for a pasta & scallop delight! I got me a jug of red wine and the vodka is on ice. If the fishing is slow , not to worry, we have our folding beach lounge chairs complete with armrests  I hope that we actually have time to fish!
