Arrow rests

So what are you using and why?

I have a drop away that came on my Hoyt. I want to change it out, possibly to a Whisker - Biscut. Had a couple of arrows come off the rest at the wrong time last season.

the bisquits are nice in the reguard they hold the arrow, but you will never achieve the accuracy with a biscuit you will with that drop away. Some fletchings do not mix with the biscuit either, they just do not fly very well out of it. I have a schaffer mat-1 on my switchback-love it, a nap quik tune on my Lx- like it, a whisker biscuit on my parker- its ok, and a nap on my high country. 3 drop aways and the biscuit- biscuit comes in distant 4th out of accuracy. But.....If it were not a drop away it would be a whisker biscuit for me. I have a used one if you'd like.

The muzzy zero effect has an extension that keeps the arrow where it should be unless you turn the bow quite a bit. My drop away does not provide that luxury but I rarely even see deer do it doesn't matter :)

Bill I have been using the same type rest for years a NAP quik tune fork style. I like and need something that is KISS (keep it simple stupid) as I am tough on my gear in the woods. I have seen guys hunts trashed in places like Newfoundland because a spring or a nut came loose and got lost. My hunting bud has the whisker biscuit and loves it and I can see this as a good rest also do to the no moving parst idea. But we get most all our shots from 1-10 yards so the accuracy thing may not be a factor.

Ok thanks, maybe I will just work with what I have a little more.

Although I shoot a micro adjust PSE rest (uni-system) the drop away's are the best rest going right now. walk into any shop and see and ask for yourself.

IMO, this is the best site. http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/....check out bowhunter & bowhunters showcase forum
