Maybe it is me

But it seems like alot of people want the glory without doing any of the leg work. they want to handed produtive spots and want to catch large. It just dosen't work that way and it is getting quite old. All these new or young guys that think it comes easy I guess they are learning the hard way. and just think that someone is going to hand them the keys to the castle.

That about says it, and when things get slow again,
as they always do,
they'll be the first to hang it up.

IMO I think this is a great thing. Just means there will be less guys in the surf. I hate fishing next to someone in the surf that I don't know. Especially someone looking for instant gratification. I'm 28 and I honestly think my generation was the last to have people that are willing to work for things.

Blood, Sweat, and No Tears!

Yawn...
yup its them yungins, dont wanna work for nuttin...

Get over it guys, the reason you can only pick on the young ones is because most of your generation already quit and doesnt try anymore, only the ones that stuck with it are around now. When you're new, you look for the best and easiest way to do something, asking doesnt hurt. EVERY person I know or read about who is a good fisherman had someone to mentor them or learn from. This isnt specific to fishing, its everyting. I gave guitar lessons for over 6 years, do you know how many people asked me "gee, how do i play like the guys on MTV" Like it was an easy answer. I wonder how many are still playing? I bet less than 1%.

:laughs: Yeah hoo..... are you guys in your sixties?

Its all relative.... as we mature we learn and if we don`t learn and mature thats what makes diversity and life interesting.
