Rhody Leg Results???
Don Thanks for the usaual great hospitality!!!!
Great to make a few more plug builders.. Fish, Anyone??? Carl and I came up with two small fish at the middle of a long walk.. John, your waders hold water perfectly as I found our after falling in knee deep water an scooping up a gallon or so...:wall: |
How did everyone do? Dead low was good at sundown with eels, the bluefish made it an expensive night, productive between the yellow eyed devils. Took a very nasty spill between some rocks, banged up my shoulder and hip and cut my face going down. Wish I could of made the BBQ. Who won the rod?
Best fish for me was a low 20lb bass and a pair of mid teen slammer blues. |

Don - thanks again for taking over the marina :hee: ! Went over after seeing / meeting a bunch of the Plugbash guys :btu: . We had a bunch of people show up to be regaled by Clammerisms and BS for a while and aftgerward breaking off and fishing.... Me & Don AfterHours went to far ends of the inbounds area with several fish each from dinks to mid/upper teen fish... I called it a night after 1am - knee was killing.... |
Fished with NIB... I had one big fish 49"... no scale best guess 38-42 pounds. Released to get biggah :kewl:. Best fish of the year for me.

Nice fish Dave, what did you catch her on, Meat, Wood or Rubba?

I think he did actually.Although I can't be sure.As I was blind folded an spun round in circles. No scale on us I would say high 30 low forty lb fish. Was much bigger than the 30 that the guy standing next to me thursday night caught.Seems the NIB is a good luck charm. Dave's fish had a huge head an big shoulders,a 45-50 lb fishes head was long with no body.I hate when i see fish like that.My guess is it didn't eat for a while like it was sick or got hooked an released before. We went to a area an fished he thru eels an I thru a jersey rigged eel.we made a bunch of cast's i thought i had one brush me.After a few more casts i told him to make a cast in their with the live eel an on the first cast he was on.He's pretty good with the live. I missed around 5 or six hits.with mines.U can't be tired an fish live eels. They (the fish)don't get hooked by themselves.. |
Sorry I couldn't stick around to fish with you guys Saturday night but it was great to meet JohnR and a couple of other early arrivals. It was good to see Nils again at Kings Cove. The first time I ran into him a couple of years ago we were Kayak fishing at Quonnie and he'd just discovered the Tube'nWorm :)
Just wanted to thank all the plug builders who donated their amazing craftsmanship to the raffle prize that I was so lucky to win. Looking forward to showing the plugs to some big girls over the coming weeks and hope to hook up with a few of you before the season is out. Thanks again! Adrian  |
My fishin partner took a 51 inch official 47.25 lb fish fri nite- only problem was it was kept-hopefully he'll get some pics up-Congrats to him
