Rhode Island MS (formerly MDA) tourney?

Is S-B entering a team this year? John, I have a copy of the rules and contact info if you're doing it this year and didn't see it in the CSA. I think the list of participants by team needs to be in soon. The tournament is next weekend, 10/20 - 10/22.

DZ 10-11-2006 06:41 AM

Hey Toby,
Send that contact info to me or post here - someone dropped the ball on this tourney - our club has not heard a thing...

Thanks

DZ

Toby - yes... Sent the check yesterday and going to post today (now I guess :hee: )

Dennis - emailed you...

RIROCKHOUND 10-11-2006 09:16 AM

DZ I forwarded it to my contact at RISAA and asked him to let one of us know... they dont want us to win this year... :D

Nebe 10-11-2006 11:13 AM

gansett surfcaststers will take it this year. I may dust off the surf gear and bust out the bunker heads:hihi:

RIROCKHOUND 10-11-2006 11:21 AM

Unfortunetly not with my help... :-)
my loyalty runs deep w/ NCSWFC so if they have a team..... which we will....

Nebe 10-11-2006 11:26 AM

looser buys coffee :hihi:

SeaWolf 10-11-2006 12:41 PM

risaa does not run the fall ms surf club challenge. jim mckeough is the contact. dz, let me know if you need that contact information. risaa runs the spring surf club challenge.

Pete_G 10-11-2006 06:14 PM

NCSWFC for the fall Challenge. We won the spring challenge in 4 hours, I'm hoping for a repeat next weekend.

What's up with not letting us fish our home waters in the fall though...

Scared? Seeing what happened in the spring they have reason to be.

RIRockhound, pm me your email. I've already rallied the troops, we've got the same squad from spring and then some. :lasso:

tlapinski 10-12-2006 06:48 AM

Pete, it's just tradition. The fall tourney has always been a SoCo thing.

By the way, the only reason you guys won the spring is beacuse I didn't fish it...

Pete_G 10-12-2006 07:34 AM

Tradition is a decent reason I guess. It would be nice to fish local though. It's OK, beating other clubs in their home territory is even more fun...:hihi:

Newport guys are funny, like the 15 minute drive is a whole nuther world over there :hihi:
CSA is laying down some hurt this year! :tm:

Its the toll that hurts.....

Aquidneck Island is certainly a well documented case of "Islander Syndrome".

Newporters won't go "up-Island", Portsmouth gets upset about having to go South, and nobody likes to leave the Island. :laugha:

Seriously though, that bridge will probably whack me for almost $20 this weekend. And if the weigh station is closed when it's supposed to be open again I'm going to have a legit reason to be irritated.

FYI, weigh in times:

The Bait Shop will be open Fri. 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Sat. 7:00 AM to 12: PM and Sun. 7:00 AM to weigh fish and accommodate one and all. Fresh coffee and snacks will be available to all participants courtesy of the shop.

I didnt either :hihi:

RIROCKHOUND 10-12-2006 09:40 AM

Since some of us work Sat/Sun the hours from 6a-10a were designated sleep for me last year and I had to wait from 5-730a to weigh a fish.... oh well..

John, Do you need to submit a list of participants like last year? If so please make sure my name is there. Katie might also be fishing with me.
