Fished from Billingsgate to the East end of the canal today in the boat. Slow. All bluefish, didn't see a bass, and the dogfish are everywhere. What a nuisance. Absolute beautiful day out there and not many people out. I had a big blue hit a trolling plug and by the time I got him onboard and unhooked he destroyed the split ring. Water temp is still 61,62 degrees even several miles out. P.

Oh dear! Too bad about your beautiful plug. But don't throw it out, give it to me, I might be able to fix it.:hihi:

Wow that blue had some good leverage on that plug, 100 pound split ring? Dog fish are beginning to be everywhere

with the cold nights now upon us, the water temp should start to drop very quickly. hopefully, that will push the fish! i did hear a 62lber was taken out of the bay early last week, so the big girls are still around!

Paul - no good out there today. Launched out of Plymouth ~545am and the wind was already howlin!! We searched for pogies but couldn't locate so we started the search for birds. Found plenty with all the twinkies you wanted, no keepers today. Tried out front along Duxbury and over by the plant but seas/wind were not enjoyable.

If you picked the right places w/i the bays, it was a nice day out there.

We got out there about 5am ourselves... We saw a HUGE pile of birds tword the power plant... but no swirls and didnt hook on...

a few twinks later on, but VERY windy... and nothing quality to show.

Did see 2 seals by the lighthouse.

went out of Sandwich at 6am, ducked out of the winds in Barnstable. Lots of schoolies on plugs. Thats it, it's deer season.

striperman36 10-15-2006 03:17 PM

Howlin at BUZM3 all day.
0-7 at home, it's deer season for sure.
Boat is to bed next weekend.
