there are still plenty of fish north of cape cod. little compton should have action till thanksgiving i would think. a couple of years ago we rented a place for a couple of weeks. took all the nieces and nephews to the jetty at sakonnet and bailed scup. that whole area just looks fishy.good luck

Depends on the conditions that year such as water temperature & prevalence of baitfish. No bait no fish, is mostly true. If the water is warm you could bet on the season being extended.
Best advice I have though is to just go. Won't catch anything sitting at home putting together the pieces of where they might be. You will learn more from your own experiences. "When ever I find myself on a beach chasing after a seagull, I know I’m almost done." -Joe Lyons |
Big fish still around the beaches of the south cape.

to dannyplug1: you should have given up years ago,you sissy boy kayak fisherman. go stand on a rock with the waves breaking over your head. don't be afeared chuck-wow!!!!!!!!

over for me :(
Niko, how big is that cod?! |
Many large fish have come from those waters over the years late in the season. What's an hour or so every nite out of your life? If I lived there I wouldn't be hanging it up yet.

With the winter holdovers,,,,,, it's never completely over.
Just something about catching stripers in a blizzard that kicks in the adrenolin and warms your heart for hours. And the standing on the edge of flats as folks drive by after a snowstorm is a thing of beauty,,,, and serious stares(?). I've a new spot to add to the list this year, that makes 4 SoCo spots for me. |
