Speakin of lexan-
What is the advantage over a stainless lip on a handcarved?
|
I can't think of any. I have a Gary2 Tiger that I'll put up against any Bomber style.

Lexan is lighter and easier to cut. I find for smaller freshie plugs it works better than stainless. Mostly cause the stainless adds more weight where I don't want it. Also harder to cut in the real small sizes (like for 1/4 oz plugs). For striper sized stuff, the stainless is a better choise. It allows you more options as far as tuning the plug compared to lexan.

You can't bend the lexan to tune the plug.

Lexan is transperant so theoretically fish do not see it as much as an SS lip, so it will not add to the total length of a lure. No flash too when u don't want an attraction like that.

Thanks for all the info. Appreciate it. :btu:
