Eastham Turnips

Well, I finally bought some because I had to know. Pulled into a little self-serve stand on the Wellfleet line. Picked out 5 bucks worth(2). There was a line (!?) and four cars behind me. So I'm thinking how good can these things be? Gott'em home and tried one raw. Tasted like a super mild radish. So far so good. Sliced the little one thin and put soy sauce on it. I think that they are an opium turnip! Wicked good snack! Oh yeah there's a turnip festival in Eastham this weekend. Who'd a thunk it? Happy Thanksgiving guys.:gu:

BBJ, I thought I saw you at that stand when I was driving back from the big city - Orleans. PPPlease, I know you are creative and all, but no plugs made out of a slender turnip!!!
