He is just trying to get people to go to his site - we see this from time to time.

Lets get a few of the boys down there. People these days:smash: spamming without the common sense of going through an anon proxy jeez everyone is soo lazy these days....

Possum 11-22-2006 11:45 AM

Apologies extended ...

I am the co-owner/admin of that other forum site which was referenced in the spamming attack.

First off, I would like to apologize to the members of S-B for the “spamming”. It was not from the core founders of our site, as I have talked to each of them today.

I am working with JohnR to identify the person and ensure proper actions are taken in the event the person is a member of either of our sites. We have the IP address and it will be banned from our forum, and if the user exists under any other name, their username will be banned as well.

We do not condone spamming and are working to ensure our members do not do so. It is difficult, if not impossible, to control people’s actions, however, I can state that this was not done by the site owners or admin. There are also some who harbor ill will towards us, and have performed similar actions to this in recent months.

Again, my sincere apologies for this intrusion to S-B.

action speaks louder than words most times..I don't beleive in time out or Doctor Phil.

JohnR 11-22-2006 12:54 PM

At this time I am not holding Possum or that site responsible. I have been contacted by some other site owners that had the same thing happen and we are all looking into this...

Thanks Possum for your explanation...

Thanks,

John

John, THT had a problem with this from a guy that got booted multiple times....arctek if I remember correctly. Same MO....and also someone on the site?

Too bad they let the registrars hide who actually owns a site.

Roast em aliiiiiiiiiiiive

slapshot 11-22-2006 02:58 PM

Hey, I remember that guy getting thrown off a CT fishing site as well. Hope you guys find the responsible party(ies) and let them have it.
