Can you tell me about this Lami?
I dug out a few lamiglas rods that were handed down and wonder what these are good for. The model is SB 136 3M. One is cut down at the tip about 6 or 8 inches. Does anyone know anything about these?
Thanks. Oh, E-Glass, good for pencil popping. |
SB1363M is a Honey colored fiberglass blank not E Glass.
E Glass would be SSB1363M. Good rod I used one for a long time throwing 3-5 oz |
They are great blanks. I use an SSB 1363M full-length as my main outfit for heavy plugging. The honey-colored blanks (SB) are E-glass and the dark brown blanks (SSB) are S-glass. (Sorry Mike.) S-glass is a little stiffer than E-glass.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the information.

A full length 136 3M can throw just about anything, from a Bomber to 6 oz and bait. Not ideally (3-5 is the sweet spot), but it will do the job better than just about anything else.
It's the rod I had when I could only afford one ;) |
I made the honey colored blank into a rod about twenty years ago. I snipped 3" off the top and put a larger tip on it. I could toss lures a country mile with that rod. Snapped it in half after beating on it casting for 5 or 6 years as I recall.
