Man Vs. Wild on Discovery?
Have you guys seen it? This guy Bear Grylls (an ex-British Special Forces soldier and one of the youngest men to ever climb Everest) has this survival show on the discovery channel that is very cool.
He takes survival to the extream but scaling waterfalls, eating bugs and snakes, and just doing crazy stuff to demonstrate how to survive. |
I watched this last night.
I couldn't stop cracking up. The alps one was definitely a setup in some ways. |
he does some dangerous manuvers out there, but he has a film crew/person to help him out if dire need be. check out les stroud aka suvivorman who does more or less the same thing and is alone- films his own chit.
|
I am no survival expert by any means but I like Les Stroud better. He advises you NOT to do crazy things like climbing. Makes sense to me that one wouldnt want to chance a broken limb from a fall. Seems like all this guy does is climb up and down things!!!!

Eek! afterhours....we thinking the same thing at the same time.........SPOOOOOOKY>>>>:eyes: :rotf3: :rotf3:

show sucks, survivorman rip off :af:
|
I think they should make a show called "Man vs. Wild Beast." like match a human up against a grizzly bear or a pit viper, etc. and see who comes out on top.
now that'd make for some quality television... |
Show sux:yawn:

It'll be more entertaining that way. |

It's like no-f'ing way would I try that especially if I was lost and didn't eat for two days! The survivorman one is much better, but is it still on? |
some kid up in acton or boxboro fought off a black bear a coupla years ago. it can be done :musc:
|
He's gonna crash and burn someday. I do watch it but the last couple of shows I tuned out. I guess it could be usefull but his scenarios are pretty remote.
|
How about squeezing the water out of Elaphant Poop. I wonder how much he gets paid?
