Currently - 704z is my main reel on my larger stick ... ordered a VS ...

I don't fish I just hang on internet fishing sites

But if I did it would be a Van Staal 400g

Mostly a Fin-Nor 16A or a 12A but If I need to launch plugs in the AM I'll bring a Shimano 700.

If I am doing the spinning thing 8000 spheros, I highly recomend this reel for anyone wanting a cheap reel that performs well in the surf and handles braid perfectly.

just kidding, Penn Slammer 560 with 30lb braid worked great for me on the beach this year, then I switched to mono when I started rock crawling.

Cabo 60; VS 200 next year.
Gotta be very careful around Mikey, he steals terminal tackle the way BM poaches plugs!

Most of the time a Penn 704 for plugging and a Squidder 140 for bait fishing. I also have a VS300, but I only use it for trips out to "M" where my reel will get submerged often.

Little beach Quantum Boca 40 or Penn 550SS yes, that's right two generations old.

Big Beach Abu 6500/7000 or Penn 704

Canal, Saltiga 6000Z spinning, Newell 229 or 220, conventional.

Beach, VS 200 or 250

shimano - spheros & stradic

penn - old school green 704 drilled to let sand & water pass through.

i fish the rocks much more than i do the sand.
