Wrapping table length
How long a table do you recommend for building surf rods? Are shorter ones a pain or doesn't it matter? I've got some workbench legs and can make a table really long if I want, but I thought I'd ask first.
Thanks |
equal to the rod length if using a machine.
|
Thanks... not sure what you mean by if you use a machine. You mean a motor to turn it or a professional type of machine?

you must have about 5 supports to hold a 10' rod |
I have a Clemens power wrapper with 3 - 4' beds. My table is just over 12' long.

The bed on my rod lathe is 14 foot and is mounted on a 16 foot table.

I have mine set up with 2 -4 foot sections all the time. I add the 3 rd -4 foot section when working on longer rods.
