Boring Family
 

I'm sure some of you have the same thing. Tonight I go to my mothers cousin's house for the most boring holiday get togethers of the year. To top it off, my father who agrees with me that he would rather have a route canal then sit through dinner with them has convinced my mother that he has a cold coming so he shouldn't risk getting them sick. At least we could throw back a couple stiff drinks together in the past and get it over with...

He called me laughing saying good luck.

So at 5:00 I get to drive to the south shore and talk to my 40 year old cousin who never moved out of her parents house and sit in the same room as her sister who won't talk to me because I think animals are tasty. She is a HARD CORE environmentalist:yak6: . She keeps fliers in her car in case she see's any indication you are a hunter so she can put it on your windshield. I told her about my hook removal method on dogfish a while back. She chringed. Just try to imagine the lectures I got when I was gill-netting.

I'd rather nail my tounge to the back of an 18 wheeler and get pulled through a field of broken glass naked then do this tonight.

Well, I survived. Thank god for wine!

Sitting at the dinner table for almost two hours with no break between dinner and desert was just peachy. Its done for the year at least.

On to grandma's house tonight but I enjoy that. This could be her last and she pretty much raised me.
