its natures way of making things even . this is our turn to have a warm winter . hell SC got more snow than us so far this year . saves me from having to go south for the winter . the birds also get to save flight time .

Yup.Global warming is not caused by man in any significant way.

The earth is in a cycle of global warming that has very little to do with man.Man has accelerated a cyclic process by a mere couple of hundred years that has been in motion for time and again for 100s of millions of years.Man's contribution to this cycle is insignificant.

The earth is 4 BILLION years old!When man is gone the earth WILL recover.Hate to let you down but humans just aren't that important.

El Nino.

Bart, if you drive about a 45 minutes North into the Twin Mntn or a little farther to Pittsburg there may be a little snow left. Anyways check out Horsefeathers in downtown N. Conway.

Looks like some droughts coming in the spring, there will be no melt off and the rivers will almost die off unless we get a rainy spring up north, like last spring. the bunker and herring runs will suffer

This time - El Nino

It's the acceleration of what would be the normal Earth's warming and cooling process which seems to be caused by man. But shouldn't we err on the side of caution? If we screw this up, we're screwed.

Hope this does not happen...

All I know is that my hunting season was royally screwed up. But since I hate winter, I'm fine with that.

People that invested in Ski Seaon Passes are really pissed. Usually I ski anywhere between 10-30 times a year and usually have a couple or more days under my belt by this time. I'm at zero days now and with no plans in the works to go. I only hope this dosn't make for an extended winter. But this weather makes me want to get my fishing gear out of the shed in search of holdovers.

personally i like the warmer weather (hate winter and hate heating bills).

el nino is the biggest driver here. who knows if greenhouse gas emissions are really causing all of this (and i'm all for being green in this regard) - there are natural cyclical forces at play too.

i heard that NYC is going to his SEVENTY degrees this Saturday (Jan 6 in the year of our lord 2007). :jester:

these warm temperatures are driving oil and natgas prices down - nice for the pocketbook. should see gasoline prices drop too.

My son just decided to head to Park City for some skiing, can't say that I blame him. If the itch is bad enough that's one way to scratch it. Me, I'll give up skiing for the lower heating bills.

Utah's season has sucked so far also.

There was also a dearth of snow in northern Maine, with Caribou getting only 42.2
inches during the year. Meteorologists said the previous low snowfall amount for a
calendar year occurred in 1987, when Caribou got 75.8 inches.

87 wasn't an El Nino year...
