seabass/bottem fish rod

What do you like is these type rods? I notice alot comm. going with slightly longer rods(maybe as long as 7'6" or 8') that are slow action, personely I like glass/compsite rods too, shore or boat. IMO, if your useing braid (like you should) then slower action makes hook sets more forgiving.
On a 7' I'm going 4 -12's, 2-16 and 1-20. Does anyone like 6' or 6'6"? What's been working for you?

I like the Lami lamiglas mb114e cut to 8 ft (11 tip) for deepwater fluking/sea bass & Tog - I got long arms.

For fluke and seabass I have been using the Shimano Teramar rods and I have a couple of the tallas rods to for light tackel days. They are very nice for commerically made rods. They are a tad bit slow in the action department but I like it. My kids like the eariler stiffer model (can't recall the name). I couple them with a lil' shimano tekoda 500 with braid and it is a sweet little rig for bottom fishing. Generally mediem heavy action around 7'. They may be a little to fancy for commerical fishing but they are great when you have the day off, sitting on the boat with rod in hand, a cold drink, some good company and the ball game on the radio....BOY I can't wait till summer!!

For tog they are not stout enough and step it up a notch to a much stiffer 6' st croix rod that can handle the load and have a tekoda 600 reel on there.
