Heli-Fishing In Chile - Orvis Travel
Explore what Charles Darwin called "the remotest place on earth," in luxury and comfort. Our expedition cruise is the ultimate way to explore and fish Patagonia's coast and mountains. You'll sail the Chilean fjords and the remote Pacific coast of Patagonia, fish untouched rivers, hike the temperate rainforest, and whale watch from the deck of the specially-designed 150' expedition ship Nomads of the Seas.

Designed for fly-fishing and natural history cruises, this brand-new yacht is outfitted with a helicopter, jetboats, and Zodiacs to give you access to the most remote estuaries and backcountry fishing. There is a crew of expert fly-fishing guides and naturalists for daily excursions, as well as a top chef, sommelier, and masseuse to provide food and comfort when you return to the ship at the end of an exhilarating day. This sophisticated itinerary is the most exciting fly fishing trip of 2007.

Expert fly fishing guides and naturalists
6-passenger Bell 407 Helicopter for fly-in fishing
6 jet boats, 7 Zodiacs for exploring
Wildlife viewing and hiking opportunities for non-anglers
Limited to just 28 guests

Departures from mid-November to mid-April
From $14,875 per person for anglers
Non-anglers from $10,115 per person

I received that email this morning also. Wow, not small change for sure. I have noticed most of the catalogs I have received in the last few weeks are advertising high end trips just like that. Probably doesn't include the tip. AND WITH MY LUCK THEY WOULD HAVE A REVOLUTION WHILE I WAS THERE AND HAVE TO FIGHT MY WAY OUT, AND FRIEKIN WALK TO BRAZIL.

If you really really want to heli fish just go to Bella Coola in BC Canada.
WAY cheaper.

Also if you ski, go to AK and fly with the Chugach Powder Guides (Owens who's one of the guys there is a riot) and do Kings & Corn.

"Spring" AK heli skiing, white water rafting, and king salmon fishing all in one trip. All inclusive for a week is like $8000
