If you could have your dream watch which would it be? Here are my favorite ones out there. Which do you like the most? There is nothing quite like a nice watch...

Breitling Chrono - Avenger M1

theres a magazine called elite traveler and they advertise for alot of watches. some of them are over $250,000. Who would pay that I don't know but they probably don't work any better than mine. :D

Mine would be and is, a Timex that cost less than $50 and works. All it has to do is let me know what time it is.

I wish my Timex could last a season of fishing ;) - I go through a couple bands a season and the mechanism itself about once per year ;) - But dreamwatch - I'll take (and probably break) the Breitling :rocketem:

I've been abusing my Rolex Submariner for about 6 years and wouldn't consider owning anything else now. Prior to that I had a Brietling Emergency but a dive in the pool with one of the set knobs out effectively killed it.

being a watch fanatic, i have used and seen the pro and cons of a lot of them

One watch that you cannot kill....whether its fishing or yardwork is a swiss army...stands you about 125-200

I've had one since college..a new battery ever 2-3 years good to go

Don't wear a watch....they usually have about a 1 month life-span with me. I either smack my wrist against something or lose them. Even tried the pocket watch route......took my pants off after a night of :gu: and watched it sail across the room and break against the wall.

The sub. I had a sub back in the mid 80's and it was a great watch. (till someone liked it more than me.....) Cost was 800 (no date) from a rolex dealer. Same watch now is close to 3K . The green anniversary model is awesome.

I can second that, I have a Rolex air king that I have used and abused since 2002 and it works perfect. For reasons that I will announce within the next month I will be getting a very generous gift soon and I am trying to decide which one I like the most....

You can't beat a rolex for durabilty and class but the cartier is a real piece of art, just not something I want to take fishing... better for a suit and situations when i'm not going to be getting dirty...

I love the yachtmaster but it is just allot of money for a person my age...

If you can find a Submariner for 3k, I need a few.

Green anivesery addition will set you back 7K now... just the regular one is 4,500

I actually have it in a box sitting next to my computer with a nasty letter that I keep procrastinating sending.

SOME DAY i will have a yachmaster. until then i will use my cellphone.

Love the watches dont wear em often enough though, daily wear is a fossil :tooth: 65 bux 4 yrs ago I think. Whenever I'm going somewhere that doesnt involve fishscales and I remember to wear it, its a cartier.

Been diggin the style of some of the technomarines lately :cheers: I like as simple as possible, I dont like the Blinged out YO MTV RAPS watches.

I think ozzie os's locman is as blinged out as I'd go.

I'm a Tag Heuer Kirium guy....I have three of them. Only had one small problem with some condensation in one of them, but other than that, they're a great watch for the money...

I rarely wear a watch. When I do, consider me dolled up. Maybe at PlugFest..

I'm in the wrong post 7k for a green one, whew.

I just sent my 6 year old Tag Searacer Link in to to TAG to get the battery changed and seals redone.

They quoted me back $265 dollars :doh: :doh: :doh:

What a freaking joke. I don't believe for a second it needs a new movement...bunch of BS if you ask me.

I've always been a big fan of TAG watches but this is the last one I'll ever get.

letter isn't all that nasty. i was being hyperbolic. it is more of a butt kissing, your watch is so great, i don't know what could be wrong, could you please replace it type letter.

but there is more than one issue with it.

it leaked and there is condensation inside. the face is all discolored. the glass scratches and chipped easily.

jewelry is for women:lasso: :zup:

to lay out that much money for a watch I put it all in to my fishing gear thank you very much, A couple of more VS's, plugs, plugs, Lamiglass rods, waders ect ect..

OK......if I had to pick one it would be either the Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck watch from the 50's. They were pretty and they worked. So there I said it.

It's all relative...

There are a lot of guys who wouldn't think of laying out money for a nice automatic watch, vintage weapon, handmade shoes or seven fold necktie...

And yet they drop how much on a boat and don't mind glug, glug glugging the gas into the tank?

That's what keeps our obsessive consumer driven economy humping along...

I always drewl when I see a Yachtmaster...it ain't gonna happen in my lifetime.

My watch I have now is great. I love it and it is worth every penny. Have had it for a couple years now. It is excellent outdoors and underwater: Luminox Navy Seal Titanium Dive watch. The powerless dial lights are awesome and it can take a real beating yet it is comfortable to wear.

Nice Watch not waterproof but nice classy watch

I think I am getting the Yachtmaster soon 50/50, I've found a collector who is willing to meet me at a rolex dealer to verify auth. The watch is a 2006 and only worn a few times. My only problem is that now I need to wait for a couple things to go through and i hope he still has it by then. This will strictly be my weekend watch and nice occasion watch but it is truly something I'll have for the rest of my life.

These bottom out at about 5K if you abuse it so getting my money back won't be hard and obviously it will be thrown on the home owners ins so if I loose it I'll get a new one for the cost of increased premiums...
