It's still winter here!
Might as well make some more plugs!
|
Another one, and my "signature". My real signature is so bad I had to come up with something else to sign my plugs -- so a blue crab it is. This black plug is actually dark purple scales over black with a dark purple belly.

sweet
how do I get a blue crab signature to work the water with man those things are sweet |
Those things just ooze quality, very impressive.

NICE!!!
I like the logo signature thing also. |
Regarding the nonsingular curve in the rostral position.
It does suffer, albeit in a bearable manner from Fermat's problem, which if i may suggest could be compensated for by incorporating an elliptical nurb spline in the spirit of the Taniyama-Shimura conjecture. Other than that I think they look fantastic. -spence |

Thanks for all the nice comments. The plugs are 6.5 inches long and weigh 2 oz without hooks. I haven't fished them yet, so all bets are off on how well they perform. I think I may add more weight if I make another batch, and I'm debating about putting bucktails on them. Any opinions on the weight and tails?

In my experience bucktails hurt the action of pencil and spook style plugs by creating too much drag in the tail. When you walk the dog you want the heavy tail of the plug to shoot forward and push the lighter nose out of the way, making the plug veeer and glide to the side. By creating drag, I think the bucktail holds the tail back and inhibits the plug's action. Whether the slower action is good, or the added attraction of the tail outweighs the subdued action that results, I can't say. |
I prefer A plain treble also..
