It's only Tuesday and it's been......

A helluva week.

1st. 10:30 last night got a call from my 85 year mother that my brother had a heart attack and was in the hospital in FLA. ( he's a nice guy and holds things in, not like me at all. See what that will do to you?)

2ND. My 32 year addict nephew without job and visible means of support calls to tell us that he is going to be a father. I am going to be the Great-Uncle of a kid with no chance for a decent life.

3rd. This morning befoire coming to work I went down to cellar to my work bench at 5am to add a little Famowood to a lure I made and as I was brushing aside the turnings from the lathe I caught a razor blade across my left hand 3rd finger. I had just restrung my Strat two days ago. Now I can't play for a week.

Jeez what's next???????

That positivly SUCKS... Hope things get better, My mother always said that bad luck comes in three's, hopefully you got it all out in a day...

Goose 02-13-2007 01:52 PM

Sorry to hear about your brother but what are you trying to tell us? You cry alot:eek5:
32 is a prime age growing up
Hey be thankful it wasn't a saw blade on your finger, you'ld be forced to be ambidextrous.
Just stay away from coffee shops and your allset:)

Raven 02-13-2007 02:06 PM

glad ya don't hold back

so...........let it all out....

speaking of crying.... one of the reasons women outlive men is
because they cry more often and that releases stress....
and it rids the body of certain toxins that are only excreted via the tear duct...

so from a practical physical standpoint it's
a very healthy thing for a man to do.

take some extra Vitamin C flap... for the finger to heal quicker.

breathe deeply....

Don't drink coffee, never did.

Last time I cried was at my father's funeral, in 1977.

32 and cracked out, that is prime but will never happen for that kid.

Who needs hand when you have a wife?

Slipknot 02-13-2007 02:24 PM

sorry you're having a rough day Steve
It will get better I'm sure
Smile and look forward to good times.

Sounds like your nephew needs rehab and a good smack
crack is evil :( take him fishing and maybe he'll see God. :hs:
We all have our difficulties, gotta face them head on.

Sorry to hear Flap. :( P+T for you and your family.

Ya live long enuff ya see everything.

Finaddict 02-14-2007 01:02 PM

Good luck with the finger ... as for the baby from your nephew ... maybe you can be a good influence on the child so that you know the kid grows up okay with a good head on its shoulders despite the father with challenges ... and maybe fatherhood will straighten him up ... despite the crack, stranger things can happen.

Hope your brother is okay.

striprman 02-14-2007 01:25 PM
