Drill bits

If any of you guys coming to plugfest have trouble thru drilling plugs, fishpart and I will have a few extras. They are kind of pricey but they are specifically made for drilling end grain so they don't wander as others have a tendency. Brad point bits with the spurs ground off. 18 each
will have some 6" and 8".
Just letting you guys know

fishaholic18 02-15-2007 03:17 PM

Bruce, can you hold one for me? I'll give Canalman the $$$ cause I may have to go to Maine with Dad this weekend. Oh..The 8" please..

Thanx, Dave

tobias 02-15-2007 03:31 PM

Karl F 02-15-2007 03:35 PM

I'm in.. for an 8 incher.. Please...

The Dad Fisherman 02-15-2007 03:42 PM

I'll take an 8" if you have'em

Fishpart 02-15-2007 04:14 PM

I think we will have total 2-8" and 2-6" one of each 5/32 and 1/8. I ordered what Slip needed and one extra.

tobias 02-15-2007 04:25 PM

I need a 5/32" (8" long) if you guys have 1 to spare.

The Dad Fisherman 02-15-2007 04:27 PM

No Biggie, maybe next time

fishaholic18 02-15-2007 04:36 PM

Someone can jump on mine, Ed told me where to get them locally. Thanx.

Slipknot 02-15-2007 06:38 PM

Don't be afraid of the 6 inch, they get you started dead nuts, then any old twist drill bit can finish it off, also if you go in from both ends, a 6" is all you need on most plugs anyway.

Thanks Ed :btu:

Slip -- where are you getting your bits? I used to use Bits & bores, but he went and retired. If you don't want to post it lease PM me:crying:

http://www.wlfuller.com/html/extra_length_brad.html

You can get them here just make sure you tell them you want the spurs ground off BEFORE you order them,,,, I have dealt with David and he has come through for me every time,,,,

Cranium 02-16-2007 05:56 AM

Bruce, as they say, size dont matter, I will take a six inch.

Slipknot 02-16-2007 07:39 AM

thanks gattafish, that's the place. They have a store that is open Saturdays, but you'd have to order ahead of time so they can grind the spurs off.
GF, I used to get bits from them also.

Tobias 8"
KarlF 8"
VB 6"
Cranium 6"
all set
you guys can fight over which diameter

GattaFish 02-16-2007 09:21 AM

Slip,,,, no problem,,, just trying to help.......

Fishpart 02-16-2007 12:02 PM

GF, that's where I got them. It is less than 2 miles from where I work.

1 week lead time, I can bring some to TCTFN if anyone wants some..
