Pro soft bait glue
While rigging up some plastic last night for the spring I tried a bottle of this stuff I picked up at the boat show...The only difference I see between this and the off the shelf super glues is the price, I rigged one bait with it and the next bait with the regular stuff...both worked exactly the same only one was $9.00 more a bottle....think I will save my money from now on...another product made to catch fisherman. Its a rip off...........

So which super-glue off the shelf product do you use? I have struggled with super-glue and always seem to glue my fingers together:wall: Can never get just a dab of it where I want it... then again, I failed art in grade school...
|
not only is it more expensive, but if you dont cap the bottle between uses, it will harden up like a rock-
Flex-Zap II is what i recommend for my eels, be it gluing in eyes, or repairing tears, or rigging.. locktight has a gel superglue you can get at walmart thats pretty good too- Joe at SRI sells the flexzap too so your supporting a board sponsor :D |

super glue is super glue
although thanks for the tip bout the gel nebe......constant finger gluer here... |
I sew all my plastic baits to hook while watching TV. Use either fishing line, heavy thread or the waxed string used to sew leather. They work great. Never slip.

ya thanks for the heads up, i was about to try that too.
thortum could you explain how you sew them on? |
I really like the loctite 'gel control' from wally-world too. Easy to put exactly the right amount in exactly he right spot. I found it dries clear unlike some of the other super-glues that turn opaque/white so its great for finishing of the heads of flies.
